What is Nouvaderm laser? The Neuvoderm Thalium Laser is a 4th-generation, cutting-edge laser from Korea. It can treat all skin types, including Fitzpatrick VI. With its power and speed, it addresses a variety of aesthetic concerns for the entire body, including fine lines, wrinkles, crepey skin, scars (including acne scars), stretch marks, actinic keratosis, and pigmentation issues such as melasma and freckles. Remarkably, it can even promote hair regrowth! Unlike other lasers that offer only one or two modes, this fractional skin resurfacing platform delivers non-ablative (targeting the epidermis), sub-ablative (targeting the top layer of the dermis), and ablative pulses (targeting the deeper dermis). What can I expect?
- In-depth consultation to determine if the treatment is the right choice for your concern.
- Apply topical lidocaine (this may be true for some treatments. For lighter procedures, topical lidocaine is not necessary).
- You will feel a slight “sunburn” and/or swelling. The length of recovery will depend on the depth of treatment. For a light treatment, there is almost no down time. For deep scar revisions, there may be 4 to 5 days of down time.
- You will be given detailed instructions to follow after the treatment.
